ABSTRACT
The May 2015 Agreement between the Holy See and Palestinian Authority serves as an inroad in understanding the Holy See’s approach towards international relations as well as its desired policies in the Holy Land. Comparing previous Holy See agreements between the Palestinians and the Israelis provides further insight into the broad scope of allowances and protections accorded to the Holy See under the May 2015 Agreement (in return for the Holy See’s formal recognition of the State of Palestine). The May 2015 Agreement also can affect both the Palestinians and the Israelis in different ways.
